Being conscious of the enormous challenge to securing a fair share for Bangladesh in the global market as well as to address issues of trade and investment promotion, and to meet the growing demand for research and capacity building needs of the business community, specially small, medium and large enterprises, Daffodil International University initiated Enterprise Competitiveness Institute (ECI) in 2004 with the recommendation of International Trade Center (ITC). The objective of ECI is to support the business sectors of developing and transition economy, helping them to realize their trade potential by sharpening their ability to compete in the international market place. The initiative for formation of ECI is one the pioneer private initiated movement in our country.

To build nation’s capacity though research & policy and foster the development of a flourishing entrepreneurial culture and a competitive SME’s, medium and large industrial sector to help poverty reduction and to support nation’s economic development goal.
